Having seen the adverts and posters about Dear John, I automatically knew it was a must see film - partly because i had heard about 'DEAR JOHN' letters before hand, and i assumed it would end up a sad romantic film maybe in a cliffhanger. To my surprise i was right! It was a classic romance film based on what could potentially be a true story.
My mum warned me about taking tissues as she had read an article about it a few days before its first viewing. I would class listening to mum, a risk! Only because we have completely different personality's, we really are very different! But this once, i have to thank my mum - i listen to her advice on taking tissues and she was right! I cried too many times for it to be possible to count. Theres no point in lying, after all this is MY blog.
Channing Tatum (John Tyree) and Amanda Seyfried (Savannah Curtis) both have completely different personality's in themselves, but they adapt to another in the way that makes me want to say 'awww!' or 'that's adorable!'. They depend on each others trust to keep them going though the difficult times of being so far apart for so long!

Richard Jenkins gave a great performance of being the father of John. Even Henry Thomas gave a great performance (dare i say it, but i didn't recognise his name from E.T because i have never seen it!)
The girls will definetly like this film because they can really understand and connect with it. The boys will enjoy it because, they just will! It is a brilliant film for a girly night in or for even a romantic date with the boyfriend/husband, girlfriend/wife; I would certainly recommend this film for the reasons above and loads loads more!
THIS IS A TRUELY AMAZING FILM!
